USA Today just put together a streaming list that's actually worth your time, which is rarer than it should be. Most of these roundups are algorithm slop, ten titles you've scrolled past forty times. This one has Ben Affleck's Animals right near the top, and that alone got me to click. You can read the full piece over at USA Today, but here's my read on what caught my eye.

Animals is the big draw for me. Affleck directs and stars, and yes, I owe you all a proper review of this one. I haven't finished it yet, so I'm not going to pretend I have a verdict, but a new Affleck movie where he's both behind and in front of the camera goes straight to the top of my queue on principle. The man knows his way around a lean thriller.

Disclosure Day is the other title the source leads with, and it streams on Peacock. I don't know much more than that yet, which in a weird way is my favorite way to go into something. No trailer burned into my brain, no discourse, just a title and a platform and a Friday night.

Beyond those two I can't tell you what else made the cut, because I've only got the headline and the two names. But that's kind of the fun of a list like this, right? Ten titles, one of them Affleck, and the rest waiting to be discovered when you click through. Go in cold and see what finds you.

My usual advice applies: start with Animals, because I want company when I finally sit down with it this weekend. Then click through the full list and pick whatever matches whichever version of you is on the couch tonight.

And if you burn through all ten, come back Monday. I'll have that full Animals review up, plus I'm planning to work through the rest of the list myself. What are you starting with tonight?
