Netflix drops so much stuff every month that it's basically impossible to keep up. I have a whole list of shows I swear I'm gonna watch and it just keeps getting longer. but this roundup from MSN narrowed it down to ten new releases hitting the platform in august and a few are genuinely worth clearing space in your queue for.

there's a decent mix this month. Series, movies, documentaries, some franchise stuff coming back. Netflix is doing that thing where they throw everything at the wall in august because summer streaming numbers matter or whatever. more options isn't a bad problem to have even if streaming discovery is genuinely broken at this point.

what I like about this list is that it's not just the big obvious tentpole stuff. There are some smaller titles tucked in between the heavy hitters. Those are usually the ones that end up being worth your time. like the algorithm pushes the big names but the random documentary or the mid-budget thriller is what you'll actually text your friends about.

I'm not gonna list all ten here because the original article does that better than I would, and also I'd be typing forever. But if you're someone who opens Netflix and immediately goes "there's nothing to watch" while staring at a wall of thumbnails, this list is for you. Pick two or three, add them to My List, and actually follow through for once.

that's my plan anyway. ask me in two weeks how many I actually finished.
