Disney+ just dropped its August lineup and it's a solid mix. nothing crazy, nothing earth-shattering, just... a decent batch of new arrivals if you already burned through everything else on your watchlist.

the full list over at MSN breaks down all 11 titles, and it spans the usual Disney spectrum. movies, a couple TV additions, some animation, documentaries. very on-brand for them.

I won't pretend I'm hyped about every single title on this list because I'm not gonna do that to you. but there's usually one or two gems buried in these monthly drops that nobody talks about until suddenly everyone's posting about them three weeks later. straight up that's how Disney+ works. the big stuff gets all the hype and then some random animated short or documentary quietly becomes the thing everyone's actually watching.

the family angle is strong here, which, yeah, it's Disney. that's the whole point. if you've got younger siblings or you're just in the mood for something that won't make you anxious for two hours, there's plenty to pick from.

streaming discovery is still a mess right now across every platform. I swear the algorithms aren't gonna surface the interesting stuff for you. they never do. you gotta dig a little. my grandma always said the best shows are the ones you find by accident and she's right about that honestly.

I'll probably check out two or three of these and report back on how many I actually finished. my track record on that front is, like, questionable at best. but that's the fun of streaming right? you add stuff to your list and then stare at it for six weeks before watching any of it.
