New month, new dump of stuff to watch. Yahoo put together its weekend streaming roundup and there's genuinely a little something for everyone across Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Max and friends. Nine picks total, so here's what's worth your couch time.

The headline grabber is Marshals season 2. if you slept on season 1, this is your sign, because breakouts only get sequel treatment when the first one performed, and everyone I know who watched it would not shut up about it. that's usually a good indicator.

There's also East of... on the list, which Yahoo's summary cuts off before finishing and same goes for my patience with half-announced titles, but it's in the lineup for this weekend so keep an eye out for the full title when you're scrolling.

Beyond those two the roundup stretches across the usual platforms. Netflix is doing its first-of-the-month crate drop, Prime Video's got new additions, and HBO Max is still riding that wave of stuff people rediscover three weeks late. I will never understand how a movie sits on a service for two years and then suddenly everyone's watching it like it just dropped. the algorithm works in mysterious ways I guess.

What I like about these roundup weeks is the range. You're not stuck choosing between one prestige drama and eight filler docuseries. It's a proper mix, and after last weekend where I spent forty minutes scrolling and then watched a YouTube video about clocks, I need that. don't ask about the clocks thing. Dante sent it to me and he was right, it was worth it, which is annoying but consistent.

Quick strategy note since it's October now: spooky season is officially open and the services know it. Expect horror additions to keep piling up all month. If a scary pick on this weekend's list catches your eye, watch it now before every platform buries it under their Halloween sliders. trust me on this one, I've been burned before by thinking something would stay easy to find and then having to search three services for a movie I swore was right there.

Anyway. Nine picks, three days, one couch. Check the full list over at Yahoo for everything and where it's streaming, because half the battle these days is just remembering which app lives on which remote button.
