Star Wars games have always been a coin flip. For every KOTOR-tier classic, you slogged through a pile of licensed filler aimed at a movie window. Your mileage may vary on the ratio, but the hits were never guaranteed. Right now there's plenty of chatter about what's next for the galaxy far, far away: a new roundup video from MSN runs through the anticipated releases and updates supposedly coming in 2026 and beyond.

The roundup is light on hard dates, and I'm not going to fill the gaps from memory. I can't verify the current official status of most of these projects from here, and the video itself doesn't attach confirmed dates to much of anything. Best I can tell from what's public, most of the forward-looking Star Wars slate lives in that gray zone where fans assume a lot and publishers confirm very little.

That vagueness is kind of the story, though. The Jedi series question is the one I keep getting asked, and I can't point you to an official sequel announcement as of this writing. If Respawn or EA have said something concrete and recent, I haven't seen it, and I'd rather admit that than repeat a rumor as fact. I use the same rule here I apply to Elder Scrolls 6 date rumors: the more specific the claim, the less you should believe it.

I've been gaming long enough to remember when LucasArts put out ambitious stuff like X-Wing, TIE Fighter, and Dark Forces, and it didn't always connect, but the ambition was there. Whole lot of swing-for-the-fences Star Wars back then. We don't get that every year anymore, and the current slate lives or dies on what publishers are willing to confirm. A roundup video can only tell you so much when the publishers themselves are staying quiet.

Short version: the pipeline looks busy on paper, but almost none of it carries a verified date right now. Classic Star Wars gaming, really. In the meantime, have you gone back to Survivor's post-game content? Might be time.
