USA Network has a new series dropping tonight and I'm kinda into the premise. Anna Pigeon premieres at 9 p.m. CT and if you like murder mysteries in national parks... this one's for you.

so the show is based on the Nevada Barr book series, which a lot of ppl are genuinely obsessed with and I somehow only heard about last week?? Anna Pigeon is a park ranger who keeps solving murders in the parks she gets assigned to. which like... imagine just trying to do your job and theres a body every single episode. rough gig but it makes for good tv.

the books have been around since the 90s and mystery readers are intense about their characters. like sometimes more than movie fans honestly. so theres already a built in audience for this and USA Network clearly knows what theyre doing. and theres a lot of source material to pull from if the show catches on, so none of that awkward season two panic where writers run out of plot.

ok the part you actually clicked for. you can watch the premiere [tonight on USA Network](https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/where-to-watch-anna-pigeon-series-premiere-for-free-tonight/ar-AA29Ctuw?ocid=BingNewsVerp) at 9 p.m. CT, and yes there are free options. if you still have cable or an antenna that picks up local channels youre already set. for everyone else who cut the cord years ago like a normal person... there are streaming platforms that carry USA Network and some of them are running free trials rn. I'd say check which ones have USA in their lineup and go from there.

what I think is interesting is that it's a procedural that doesn't feel like every other show on network tv right now. the national park setting alone gives it a completely different vibe from your standard city-based crime drama. and the source material is super solid. Nevada Barr wrote a ton of these books over the years so theres plenty of story if the show finds its people.

no reviews are out yet so I straight up can't tell you if it delivers. could be great, could be mid. but the premise is solid and Tracy Spiridakos is starring as Anna, which feels like good casting from what I've seen in the promos. sometimes you just gotta tune in and find out for yourself I guess.

Dante would probably tell me this deserves a three-hour deep dive comparing it to every park ranger movie ever made, and he'd be wrong, but also hes usually right about these things so... I'm curious what he thinks after tonight. if he says watch it, I'll watch it. thats the deal.

premiere is tonight. 9 p.m. CT on USA Network. set a reminder or just let it record while youre scrolling TikTok like I'll be doing.
