Omega Force is going back to wall duty. Koei Tecmo just dropped the first real trailer for Attack on Titan 3, confirming a December launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC. The trailer also gives us a fresh look at gameplay, and if you played the previous two entries, you will recognize the DNA immediately.

If you never touched the older games, the Attack on Titan formula is basically Omega Force taking their musou roots and injecting them with omni-directional mobility gear adrenaline. You zip through the air, target napes, and carve up Titans with that satisfying blade-and-gas combat loop. The first two games were surprisingly faithful adaptations, hitting the major beats of the anime while giving players that visceral, Spider-Man-with-swords fantasy. And if you spent any real time in the earlier games' online modes, you probably already know how much fun it is to coordinate Titan takedowns with a full squad flying around you.

The new trailer doesn't give away much about story specifics, but it shows enough to confirm the signature movement and combat are back. Character models look sharper to me, and the Titan encounters seem to carry more weight, though I'm going off a first impression here. There's a brief mention of co-op, but no real details yet. You can check out the full breakdown over at Superhero Hype.

What has me curious is whether Omega Force leans harder into that social, squad-based feel this time around. If they do, I'm hoping for that same rush you get from a clean raid boss phase in FFXIV, where everyone knows their role and the execution is tight. December cannot come fast enough.

Grab your blades. Stock up on gas canisters. December is going to be a bloodbath, and I am already clearing space on my calendar for co-op night.
