Catherine Zeta-Jones is headed back to series TV with a title that sounds like a Discord argument that went very, very wrong. Kill Jackie, her upcoming thriller, now has a premiere date on Prime Video: October 2, per Variety.

The premise is a fun one. It's a revenge thriller based on Nick Harkaway's novel The Price You Pay, with Zeta-Jones playing Jackie, a former drug smuggler. So yes, Jackie is her character, and given the title, somebody wants her dead. Revenge stories only work if you care about the person being hunted, and Zeta-Jones has the screen presence to carry that weight.

In my book she's spent the last few years having more fun on screen than maybe anyone in her bracket. Her Wednesday turn as Morticia Addams was all elegance with a knife hidden in the glove, and if Kill Jackie lets her bring that same energy to revenge-thriller stakes, October just got a lot more interesting.

The timing is right, too. Nights get longer, watchlists get spookier, and a slick thriller hits different when it's dark outside by six. My group chat already treats October as prestige-thriller season, and this one just went on the spreadsheet.

Mark the calendar for October 2 and clear a Friday night. Somebody in that writers' room knew exactly what they were doing with a title like Kill Jackie.
