It's Friday, my favorite kind of Friday, the kind where IGN rounds up the week's best trailers and I get an excuse to spend the morning watching them all so you don't have to. Except you should, because that's the whole point.

The headliner this week is INK, the new one from Danny Boyle, starring Jack O'Connell, Guy Pearce and Claire Foy. When Boyle works with a cast like that, I pay attention before I even know the plot, because this is the guy who made a movie about a guy cutting his own arm off feel somehow joyful. The premise involves a group of, well, IGN's summary cuts off right at the good part, which is very on-brand for a trailer roundup. Watch it cold. That's my advice.

Beyond that, the week's batch covers the usual spread: a couple of game trailers, some horror, something animated, the standard mix. I won't pretend I watched all nine with equal enthusiasm. I never do. There's always one trailer I replay three times and one I close out of after forty seconds, and part of the fun of a roundup like this is figuring out which is which for yourself.

What I like about these weekly collections is that they've basically become their own genre. A trailer is a two-minute movie now, cut like a music video, scored like a thriller, engineered to live in your head until release day. Some of them are better than the films they're selling. Remember the first Suicide Squad trailer? Great trailer. Anyway.

If you've got ten minutes this weekend, run through the full list over at IGN and tell me which one hooked you. I already know what I'm watching first, and no, I'm not saying, because Jess will absolutely mock my answer and she'd be right to.
