Dulquer Salmaan has his date. His romantic drama Aakasamlo Oka Tara, directed by Pavan Sadineni, hits big screens on November 20, 2026, per Pinkvilla. Fans have been calling it AOT for a while now, and they finally get to circle the calendar.

If you've spent any real time with Dulquer's filmography, you know the man doesn't miss much when it comes to romance. From OK Bangaram to Sita Ramam, he's built a whole career out of playing men who feel things deeply and actually say them out loud, which is rarer in movies than it should be. So a new Dulquer romantic drama landing in the middle of awards season? Yeah, my November watchlist is already being rearranged around it.

The title's doing a lot of work here. Aakasamlo Oka Tara translates roughly to "a star in the sky," and if that doesn't tell you what kind of gentle, sweeping love story we're getting, I don't know what will. Pavan Sadineni directing is an interesting pick too. He comes out of smaller, character-first stuff like Prema Ishq Kaadhal, and pairing a guy like that with a star like Dulquer usually means one thing: the movie cares about the quiet moments between the big ones.

November 20 is a crowded window, but it's smart for this kind of film. The blockbusters have mostly spent themselves by mid-November, and once the spectacle fatigue sets in people start wanting something with actual human warmth in it. Romantic dramas live in that gap.

What we don't have yet is a trailer or much in the way of plot, which honestly I prefer at this stage. Half the fun of a Dulquer movie is walking in cold and just letting it happen to you. The announcement is the announcement. A date, a star, a director, a promise.

I'll keep an eye out for the first look and the trailer, and I'll pass them along when they show up. Until then, November 20 belongs to the romantics.
