the last friday of august and streaming is going out swinging. like actually stacked this time. the new drops landing august 28 cover netflix, prime video and more, and the full rundown counts 14 new movies and shows. 14!! which is a lot even for streaming, where they just throw everything at the wall and see what sticks. the source calls it a "diverse slate" and yeah, based on the titles, checks out. something for basically everyone. i know every one of these posts says that but this week it might actually be true.

also quick thing about how i pick from these lists... i don't. i watch way too much of it and then tell you what survived. grandma raised me on the idea that you don't hype something you haven't actually sat with, and that goes for streaming slates as much as anything. so this is the map, not the verdict. verdicts come after the weekend.
