Godzilla Day keeps delivering. Toho and IMAX are letting fans see Godzilla Minus Zero early through exclusive Early Access screenings on November 3, which is Godzilla Day itself, before the film hits theaters November 6 (it opens November 3 in Japan). ComingSoon.net has the details, and if you loved Godzilla Minus One, you'll want to move fast.

The Early Access event puts ticket holders in IMAX seats days before the wide release, which is exactly the kind of thing I've been yelling about all year. We just lived through the Odyssey IMAX ticket stampede, so fair warning: those seats will not last. Takashi Yamazaki directing a direct sequel to Minus One, with the family back, was already one of my most-anticipated fall titles. Now there's a way in early, and it's the biggest screen possible.

What made Minus One special was that it wasn't really a monster movie. It was a postwar drama about guilt that happened to have a giant lizard in it, and the human stuff hit harder than most prestige dramas that year. If Minus Zero carries even half that DNA, an early IMAX crowd is the best possible room to see it in. First-night Godzilla audiences are their own breed of electric.

Check the ComingSoon piece for exact screening times and ticketing links, grab your seats the minute they go live, and clear November 3. I'll be the guy in the back pretending he isn't emotionally braced for whatever Yamazaki does to us this time.
