If you've spent any time in RPG Discord servers lately, you know the Kingdom Come: Deliverance crowd has been practically vibrating waiting for sequel news. Someone just dug up a trademark filing on the European Union Intellectual Property Office website that might be our first real hint at what the next game is called.

According to Push Square, the filing showed up in the EUIPO database and people started connecting dots immediately. Trademarks are funny like that. Developers and publishers have to file them publicly, so even the most secretive studios end up tipping their hand sooner or later. Then the community does the rest of the detective work.

I do want to be clear here. Trademark filings don't guarantee a final title. Companies file them for all kinds of reasons, sometimes for protection, sometimes for marketing materials, sometimes because a legal team is just covering their bases. So take this with the appropriate amount of salt. But when a filing lines up with what we already know about a game in active development, it's usually a pretty strong signal.

The original Kingdom Come: Deliverance built one of the most dedicated communities in modern RPG gaming. And I mean dedicated. We're talking players who learned fifteenth century blacksmithing techniques for fun, who debated the historical accuracy of armor sets in forum threads that went on for dozens of pages, who still run active modding communities years after release. Warhorse Studios created something that resonated because it treated its historical setting with genuine respect. The community gave that right back.

So when a potential title leaks, it actually matters to people. Not just because of hype. This community has invested real emotional energy into this world.

What interests me more than the name itself is what it might tell us about scope. The first game was famously focused, a tight story in a specific corner of medieval Bohemia. If the sequel's title hints at a larger geographical area or a new chapter in Henry's story, that tells us Warhorse is thinking bigger this time around. After the success of the first game, they've earned the room to do exactly that.

We'll probably get an official announcement soon enough now that the trademark is public. Studios hate when their reveal plans get scooped by a database filing. My guess is we see something within the next few months, maybe at a showcase event.

Until then, keep your eyes on those EUIPO filings. The community will absolutely find the next breadcrumb before anyone official drops it.
