It's that time of week again, where I scroll through every platform so you don't have to, and this week's Hindi slate is actually decent. The full rundown comes courtesy of Dainik Jagran, and there's a little something for everybody between October 12 and 18.

The headline grabber is no mystery: Koffee With Karan is back for Season 9. Say what you want about the show, it still produces more viral clips in one episode than most series manage in a full run. I've watched every season, including the ones everybody pretends didn't happen, and the format still works because celebrities saying slightly too much on camera never gets old. I have no inside line on who's sitting on the couch this time either, so we find out together.

The big movie title of the week is Prahaar. The platform rollout details are in the source piece, so check there for the exact where-and-when, but this is the one I'd queue up first if you only have one movie night in you. Sometimes a title just grabs you. This one grabbed me.

Beyond those two, the source lists more titles, Nayyi among the week's drops, so read the full piece for the complete slate. My standing advice applies as always: scroll past the homepage carousel and actually search. The front page rarely tells you the whole story of a given week, and I've complained about that enough times that you know where I stand by now.

What I like about this stretch of the calendar is the variety. A talk show that runs on chaos, a movie with a title that makes you look twice, and enough smaller releases that you can build a whole week of watching around it. My plan, since a few of you asked: I'm still working through the backlog I told you about last week. Ben Affleck's Animals is nearly done and that review lands soon, plus I owe you my take on Epic - First Semester, which I covered in last week's South OTT roundup. This week's stack just gets added to the pile. The couch potato backlog never shrinks, it only metastasizes.

So here's your homework. Pick one thing from this week's list you'd normally skip, not the Karan Johar circus, and tell me how it went. I'm always looking for the next buried thing worth digging up.
