Mike McClure's DFS picks for Sunday night's Rams-Broncos game are up over at CBS Sports, and if you read this space at all you know I called Rams-Broncos the game to build around earlier this week. McClure landing on the same read as my spreadsheet is a nice change of pace from the weeks where the numbers and the vibes part ways.

Per his SportsLine bio, McClure's a daily Fantasy multimillionaire, and that's about as strong as DFS credentials get. I don't take anyone's picks as gospel, mine included, but when his board and my usage numbers point at the same game, that's where my Main Slate exposure goes. Go read his full breakdown at the link for the actual picks and stacking advice. You don't want my secondhand version of it.

Why Rams-Broncos? Game environment. Sunday Night Football means the single-game showdown crowd and the full-slate builders are all pulling from the same player pool, and this matchup has the ingredients DFS people dream about. Denver's passing game has more live arms than the pricing has caught up with, and the Rams' defense has been generous enough that Broncos pass-catchers are legitimately in play at salaries set before anyone knew how this roster would look.

Stacking is the whole play in showdown formats. Chalk game script? Quarterback plus his top two targets from one side, then a backfield piece from the other. If you think it stays tight into the fourth, a correlated stack with a kicker and a defensive score angle is the contrarian route. I'm a route participation guy first, so before I lock anything McClure or anyone else is selling, I'm checking who's actually running full routes on the practice reports.

Usual disclaimer, and I mean it every time: this is entertainment and analysis, not financial advice. My DFS entries go in the receipts ledger I'm keeping all season, the same one I'll grade at midseason whether it's pretty or embarrassing. Deb keeps pointing out the ledger mostly exists to document me losing to her, and she's currently right, which is the worst part.

So read McClure's full picks at the link, cross-reference the injuries before lock, and don't overpay for names when the snap data is free. What's your showdown anchor tonight, Broncos side or Rams side? Comments are open. With me or against me.
