Netflix just dropped the official trailer for North of North Season 2, and the big news is the date: November 5. That's when Anna Lambe and Mary Lynn Rajskub head back to Ice Cove, and it's the piece of info everyone in my group chat was waiting on. You can watch the whole trailer over at ComingSoon.

If you slept on season 1, the setup is simple but so good: Siaja, played by Lambe, is a young Inuk mother rebooting her life in a tiny Nunavut town where everybody knows your business and has opinions about it. The show leans on an almost entirely Inuit cast and writing room, and you can feel it in the details. The humor lands like it's coming from people who actually live it.

Lambe is still the heartbeat of the whole thing. She can sell a joke and break your heart in the same scene, which is rarer than it should be. And Rajskub, I mean, anyone who came up on 24 and Mr. Show knows she can do deadpan in her sleep, so having her back in the mix is a win.

So mark it: November 5, Netflix. It's the kind of show that works best watched with someone else nearby so you can pause and go "that's exactly my aunt." Community comedy really is the co-op campaign of television.

Did you catch season 1 when it landed? If not, you've got a few weeks to binge it before the new episodes hit, and I'd recommend it without hesitation. It's warm, it's sharp, and it never punches down. We need more shows like this, and I'm glad Ice Cove is reopening its doors.
