new psychological horror movie called Other Mommy just dropped the first trailer and yeah I'm already stressed

ComingSoon exclusively debuted it, you can watch over at AOL, and it looks like that slow-burn stuff that just sits in your chest for a few days. not jump scares and gore, just... dread. the good kind.

psychological horror is having a moment rn and I don't mean that in a generic "horror is killing it" way. I mean stuff that actually trusts the audience. slow builds. atmosphere. characters you actually care about before everything falls apart.

that's the vibe I'm getting here. creeping dread. you know something is deeply wrong but can't quite figure out what, and every scene tightens the screws a little more

trailer also confirms the release date: October 9. so now we all know exactly how long we have to wait.

no spoilers from me obviously but if you've been starving for horror that actually puts in the work on the psychological side? this looks like it might scratch that itch. Dante would probably tell me it's too short and needs a three-hour runtime to "properly build tension" but some of us like movies that respect our time. I'll watch anything once though if the buzz is this strong

check out the trailer yourself and see if it hits the same way. this one's on my radar now and I'm just counting down the days.
