remember when I wrote about The End of Oak Street back in August and the streaming details were basically nonexistent? like, the movie was blowing up and nobody could even tell you where to legally watch it. well. we finally have answers.

the dinosaur thriller is getting an official digital release, and Collider has an exclusive preview clip with Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor to mark the occasion. yes, THAT Anne Hathaway. in a dinosaur movie. 2026 keeps finding new combinations and I keep watching every single one of them.

if you missed this one somehow, it's been the quiet overperformer of the late summer. no massive marketing push, no Fast X-sized budget, just a solid hook and a lot of people going "wait, this is actually good?" and telling their friends. that word-of-mouth wave is exactly why I flagged it in the first place, and why the complete silence on where to stream it was so frustrating. viral movie with no home. felt very 2019 of everyone involved.

the clip itself is a behind-the-scenes look, so you get Hathaway and McGregor in the thick of it, which is kind of the whole selling point here tbh. McGregor doing dinosaur-adjacent chaos is a genre I didn't know I needed. and Hathaway has been on one of those runs where she just picks interesting stuff and commits completely, so I'm not shocked she's the best part of people's reviews.

what I like about this release strategy, even though it took literal forever, is that the movie earned its moment instead of getting buried in a day-one dump. it played theaters, it found its audience the old fashioned way, people argued about it online, and now everyone who slept on it can catch up in one sitting. that's a healthier lifecycle than most movies get rn, even if the communication along the way was kind of a mess.

if you were one of the people asking me where to watch this (and there were... several lol), the wait is over. digital release, Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor, dinosaurs. do with that information what you will.

I'm planning a proper rewatch now that it's actually accessible, partly for the movie and partly to see if it holds up without the hype noise around it. Grandma always said never trust your first impression of a gadget, review it twice. same energy, different medium. anyway. dinosaurs. Hathaway. go.
