Mr. Brown and Cora are back. Tyler Perry's Assisted Living returns for its seventh season tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 9 p.m. ET on BET, per Syracuse.com. So if you've been keeping up with Mr. Brown, Cora and the residents of the facility, you already know where to be.

If this one slipped past you, the setup is simple: Mr. Brown and Cora open an assisted living facility and chaos follows. It's broad, it's loud, it's warm-hearted in that unmistakable Tyler Perry way, where a joke about somebody's casserole can swing into a genuinely sincere family moment two scenes later. The multi-cam rhythm is old-school in the best sense. Laugh track, punchlines, a live audience that sounds like it's having the time of their lives.

Now, the part you actually clicked for. You don't need cable to watch, and there are free options.

Philo is the cheapest full route at around $28 a month, and it carries BET. Better yet, it has a free trial, so you can catch tonight's premiere without paying anything if you're new. Fubo also carries BET and runs a free trial, though it gets pricier if you stick around past the trial window. And if you already pay for cable or satellite, just log in through the BET app with your provider credentials and stream it live that way.

I'll admit multi-cam sitcoms are comfort food for me. There's a version of this job where you only watch prestige dramas and pretend that's the whole diet, and that person is exhausting. Perry's sitcoms get dismissed by critics constantly, and audiences keep showing up anyway, season after season, and at some point that's the review. People like these characters. Seven seasons in, Assisted Living has earned its spot.

So whether you're a longtime fan or you just want something easy and warm on a Tuesday night, the premiere is at 9 p.m. ET on BET. Fire up a free trial, settle in and let Mr. Brown do the rest.
