So Toxic, the Yash gangster movie everyone spent two years yelling about, is finally heading to streaming. After a theatrical run that can generously be called rough, the film just locked in its digital home and an actual date: September 25, 2026. If you missed it in theaters (statistically... you probably did), that's your shot.

Per the Economic Times, Toxic's digital rights went to ZEE5, and it starts streaming there September 25. The report also says it'll be available in multiple language versions, so you're not stuck hunting for an audio option that doesn't exist. just check whichever track you want when it drops on the app.

Quick catch-up for anyone who blinked. Toxic stars Yash as a gangster, which after KGF is basically his entire brand at this point, and it pairs him with Kiara Advani. It was pitched as this big stylish crime epic, huge budget, massive expectations, the whole thing. The theatrical run did not match the hype. It underperformed, which happens, but it stung more here because Yash movies are supposed to be events. KGF Chapter 2 was a cultural earthquake. Toxic was more of a strong breeze.

I've been saying this a lot lately but a weaker box office doesn't automatically mean a bad movie. Some of my favorite stuff from this year found its actual audience weeks after leaving theaters. Streaming gives a film like Toxic a second life with people who weren't going to buy a ticket for a long gangster saga but will absolutely watch it on a Tuesday night with snacks. That's just how the pipeline works now.

The multi-language drop matters too, whenever the exact lineup gets confirmed. Half the conversation around these releases is people arguing over which version is better, and Toxic is about to inherit all of that. Enjoy lol.

Worth noting Kiara Advani's part here, since the marketing leaned on her heavily and she's been on a run lately. Whether the movie gives her enough to do is a whole other question. Personally I'm going in mostly for Yash, because the man commands a frame, and whether the movie knows what to do with that is exactly what I'll be watching for.

I'll watch it. not going to pretend otherwise. I skipped it in theaters partly because the word of mouth was so all over the place, and streaming is exactly where a movie like this belongs for me. Big, loud, stylish, possibly messy gangster epic with a magnetic lead. That's a couch movie if I've ever seen one. Grandma always told me to judge the gadget yourself instead of trusting the reviews, and I apply that to films pretty liberally.

Mark September 25 on the calendar and keep an eye on the ZEE5 new arrivals row. And if Toxic turns out to be secretly great, you'll hear about it from me. If it's not... you'll hear that too.
