OK so history class right? we all sat there. We memorized the dates and the battles and which king did what to which other king. and like sure that stuff happened. But nobody ever told us the GOOD parts.

so when I saw that someone rounded up 29 genuinely wholesome moments from history, I clicked so fast. The whole thing is built on this idea I love which is that history is also about kindness and mercy and empathy. not just the endless dates and big battles.

I am not going to list all 29 because you need to go read them yourself. I refuse to spoil it. but the collection covers everything from quiet little acts of compassion to mercy in places you would never expect to find it and each one is proof that people have always been capable of being wonderful to each other even in circumstances that were genuinely terrible.

like think about that for a second. someone actually went through the historical record and pulled out 29 separate examples of humans choosing to be good to each other. That is 29 moments where somebody decided kindness was more important than whatever else was going on and it got written down and now we get to know about it hundreds or thousands of years later??

this is the stuff they should be teaching us. Not because battles and treaties don't matter, they absolutely do, but because kindness matters too. Joy is worth documenting with the same energy we give everything else. it always has been.

go read all 29. You deserve to find them yourself and I promise at least three of them will make you text someone saying "did you KNOW this??"
