OK so you know how some people spend their weekends doing laundry or going to brunch? Liam Thompson spends his trying to break world records that sound like they were invented at 2 AM after someone said "bet you can't do that."

He just attempted FOUR of them. One by one. Like a man on a very strange and beautiful mission.

I don't even know where to start because every single one of these sounds like something my group chat would dare each other to do except we'd never actually follow through and Liam just... goes for it. Every time. The guy has made an entire personality out of attempting things no reasonable human would attempt and it is genuinely delightful to watch.

You can see the whole thing right here on MSN and I genuinely think you should stop whatever you're doing and watch it immediately.

What I love about Liam's whole approach is that there's no pretension here. No "I'm a serious athlete conquering serious challenges" energy. It's more like "what if I tried to do this absolutely unhinged thing and filmed it" and that's the whole vibe. The world needs more people who treat ridiculous ideas as a calling.

And these records EXIST! Someone, at some point, was the first person to go "I am going to do this specific weird thing better than anyone has ever done it before" and then someone else came along and said "hold my beverage, I can do that weirder and faster." That's humanity at its most unhinged and joyful and I am so here for it.

Like, we invent records just to break them. We create categories of achievement that serve absolutely no purpose except making people laugh and gasp and send the video to their friends. That is actually kind of beautiful.

Anyway. Liam Thompson is out there living his best life four ridiculous records at a time and if that's not a reminder to go do the weird thing you've been thinking about, I don't know what is.

Go watch it. Send it to three people. You know the ones.
