These are the days I live for.

The Minnesota Twins are calling up Kaelen Culpepper. He's their second-ranked prospect and the 29th overall prospect in baseball according to MLB Pipeline. JD Cameron of Just Baseball was first with the news, though the club hasn't confirmed it yet. Somewhere a kid who's been grinding in the minors is about to step onto a big league field for the first time and everything changes.

I don't care about his exit velocity data. I don't care about his launch angle trends. I care about the fact that this guy has been working toward ONE moment his entire life and it's here.

Think about that for a second. Every early morning in the cage. Every bus ride through minor league towns. Every at-bat in front of a few hundred people in some stadium where the lights buzz and the hot dogs taste like cardboard. All of it led here.

That's the stuff that gets me. Every single time.

Culpepper's been a name Twins fans have been tracking for a minute, and the hype is real. Top-30 prospects in all of baseball don't come around every day, and Minnesota making this move tells you they believe he's ready.

And what I keep picturing is the moment his phone rang. I don't know who made the call or where Culpepper was when he got the news. I'm not gonna pretend I do. But I know what that call means. Your whole life splits in half. Before and after. And every person who helped you get there, every coach, every parent, every teammate who believed in you before anyone else did, they all flood into your head at once.

You don't get this moment back. The first one. The first time you hear your name announced in a big league stadium. The first time you step into the box and the crowd reacts and you look around and think, I made it.

I'll be watching. You should be too.

And Kaelen, if by some miracle you're reading this, take a second between pitches tonight. Look up. Breathe it in. You earned this. Every single bus ride led here.
